Dance Revolution 2010

Sorry I have not gotten to this any sooner.  I am busy with Nutcracker!  Any way, so about two weeks ago I went to a convention called Dance Revolution.  This is what we dancers wait for all year! (kinda like a Christmas for dancers.) What you do is you dance literally all day! I am going to give you a day by day feature of what I did.  On Thursday I spent the night with my friend Cassiday.  On Friday we drove down to Orlando and got there around four o'clock, checked in at Cassiday's hotel and then went over to my hotel where the rest of the girls were staying.  We ate supper then Cassidy left, and we got ready for the party.  Every year they have a party on the first night and this year we were supposed to come dressed in an old recital costume.  After the party, around nine thirty, we went to get milk and finally got to bed around ten thirty.  Let me tell you about having the best room out of the whole dance revolution.  It was Miss Lexi (A.K.A. the best teacher in the world) Jamie, Rebecca, Lily and I in a suite.  We woke up at six forty-five and Rebecca, not thinking when she left, brought muffin mix that only needs milk and did not bring a muffin pan.  We just made due with what we had and here is the result.
This is our huge muffin. It tasted the same as a regular muffin!

After we ate we went straight to dance.  This picture is of the ballet teacher - we had her first!

This is the hip-hop teacher and Rebecca who made the muffin!

This is the international teacher who I think kinda reminds me of my Aunt Sarah!
After that class we had lunch and then headed back for more classes!
Dance Revolution is not only a convention, it is a school and the girls who go there full-time are called Ingredients.  They are short on teachers so they had some Ingredients teach jazz!
This teacher teaches contemporary.  It is one of my favorite kinds of dance!

After that class we had electives, and we did House (the teacher was amazing on how well she could do it). We did not have time to get a picture.  Then we went back to the hotel and got ready for the showcase, the exhibition of dances from each studio.  The showcase went well and then we went back to the hotel to sleep, and the best part was we got a extra hour of sleep (because of Daylight Savings Time) so we got about ten hours of sleep!  When we woke up we had to pack everything and Rebecca got the great idea that she would have a pop tart from the vending machine.  She got it and popped it in the microwave and set it on express and did not watch it.  This is what happened.

We went to class and we had the musical theater teacher. He is my favorite.

This is the modern teacher and is one of my favorites too.
We had lunch, and then we went back for tribal funk which was the same teacher that taught house.  We could not get a picture with her so we took a picture of her with a random girl so we could have a memory of her.

Last, we watched the teachers dance and then headed home.  We were a little bored so we took a couple pictures.
We made a wonderful trip home all safe and sound!
