Glasses!

In December I noticed that I cannot read things from far away.  I noticed that my eyes where not as keen as some of the people in my household. On Monday my mom called the eye doctor, and made a appointment for Tuesday. I will say that I was pretty excited, because I don't think my mom believed me. So Tuesday rolled around and we headed to the eye doctor.  I get there and my mom fills out the paper work, then they bring me into this filing room type thing, and they had a machine that took pictures of your eyes.  When I looked into it, it had a little snow flake looking thing. It was eighty percent accurate and showed that I had a slight astigmatism. Then I went into a another office with another machine.  The doctor came in and I'm happy to say, a women. My mom had never had her! So first she asked me to cover one eye and read a chart with letters.  Then  I did the other eye, and I will say that the left eye is worse than the right eye. Next I looked through this machine, and read the chart. Then she switched the lenses and told me to tell her when the chart got blurry. Once we were done she told me I had astigmatism and I would need glasses but not to wear them all the time. When we got done the nurse at the front desk did this color blind test and then did another test.  It was like 3-D and she asked me to pick up the butterfly that was in 3-D.  I scoped it up. Then she asked more specifically to pick it up by the wing and I did. Then i picked out my frames. The lady told us to pick them up on Friday. We come back on Friday(my birthday) and picked them up.  If I do say myself i look quite wonderful in them. Here is a picture!
